Not only did I really enjoy that dance (Anca let me be one of the ballerinas) but I thought it was wonderful how all the different dance groups at Penn came together for a common cause. Everyone was so friendly!

What are you doing now? I'm a nurse at a Boston Children's Hospital part-time, raising 2 kids, volunteering for school activities, Lately, I've starting trying some new things like a masters swim team class and violin lessons. However, in the end, I always go back to dancing!

What is your fondest Sparks memory? Lots of funny conversations, the fullfillment of dancing at community sites, and most of all, the bonding of "Hell week". I can still picture us walking down Locust Walk together for our shows. We had our Spring show in the old Houston Hall (our dressing room was the back staircase). We wore a black unitard as a part of almost every costume. I'm proud of all the current Sparks members, love the new website, and I was so happy to see many future nurses in the group!

What is your fondest Sparks memory? Sparks was an essential part of my life at Penn; in those days we performed at Houston Hall (not as it is now; then it was a dusty, comfy, artsy place with a tiny theater). I loved those long days leading up to the show; of course all of the girls; and even my "club" dance numbers hold a certain appeal!
